Music and Me

Stimulate the musician in your young child with rhythmic games and activities that teach little ones to express what they hear through movement. As they walk, run, and dance, they experience beat, meter, and rhythm. Singing and moving translate into melody, phrasing and form that further leads to ear training and improvisation. Percussion instruments and coloring music pages add to the fun.

Explore the fun of playing the instrument of choice with other young beginners. A supportive group setting of 2-3 children helps prepare your child for individual study. Recommended for one to two semesters.

Music Theory

One of the key components of the Suzuki method of instrumental instruction. Concurrent private lessons, either at the “Dea” Music School or elsewhere, required.

For students currently working with an instrumental teacher outside the "Dea" Music School, we offer the opportunity to enhance that experience by enrolling in one or more of the school’s musicianship classes, group classes, and/or performance ensembles.
